84 leone Dash Lights issue, and high pitched beeping

Post by Clayton » Mon Sep 25, 2006 9:58 am

hi wondering if anyone can help me out, i own an 84 leone manual petrol leone coupe with electronic dash, and all the lights have gone stopped working as of last week , except for the ones on the diagram on the car, front doors open, handbrake, choke, oil light, brake fluid battery etc. no fuses are blown, and cant see one for them anyway. any ideas??

also as of yesterday when i turn the car to on a high pitch electronic noise starts, coming from under drivers feet under ignition?? any ideas? when i pull the fuil/coil ign fuse out it stops, but i have no idea what the problem is. was fine in the morning then that afternoon just stopped. any help would be apprectiated!! go the mighty leone!!

Thanks. Clayton.

I would pull the dash and start looking for dry joints in it and loose connections.

Generally when all the lights come on like that it means the alternator is stuffed, or at the very least needs some attention.

No i mean none of the electronic instruments are working except for the ones mentioned above. i have no speedo, temp, revs etc. the alternator is nearly brand new too so i dont think its that. and also the beeping sounds like some kind of warning signal for something...

any other ideas?? Appreciate it. keep the subaru dream alive.

the digital dash does tend to stop working, i can't remember what causes it and not sure if it is repairable, but saying i had one which stopped working and one day it started again
