need a favour from someone with a 3inch lift

Post by artrixx » Mon Sep 11, 2006 12:16 am

got a mate that has bought an L-Series wagon that came with a lift kit in a box. had a look at it today and its a 3inch front and a 2 inch rear one. it looks a bit of a bitsa kit. just a couple of questions the plate the radius rod attach's to has 3 mounting points and on his kit the lift is just 400 mm not 50mm/2inch's, the engine cross member and strut tops are 75mm/3inch's is this normal / my 2 inch kit has the same mesurements on the radius rod plate as his does.....would someone that has a 3inch kit do me a big favour and measure theirs please.

I suppose you mean 40mm. It will be right to use like that. Strange to have a 2" kit for the back though. With the MY a 2 in the back used to level them out if you had stuffed springs up front but it is not needed this way with an L kit.

oops sorry about that yes it was 40mm not 400! thanks for the help , his car has a high rear as it is , i can only suspect that the previous owner was trying to level it out.
