New member, new ride.

Hi all, I found this forum recently and it's helped me heaps all ready, there's a lot of very knowledgable people here and some very nice cars! Congrats to all.
It's been five years since I have owned a Roobasoo and being in the market for another car I decided to go looking for another one.

I've put a deposit on this wagon pending the seller fixing a few minor items.

It's an 88 wagon. Carb motor (to be changed within a year). Lift kit, not sure how high, what do you guys think??? 2 or 3 inches? It runs on duel fuel has full electrics and a decent interior, paint is new also.

I'll give more details when I pick it up in the next few days.

I can't wait to get it dirty.

wow very straight! I'd hazard a guess at a 3" lift. Dual fuel is very interesting indeed.

Thanks, I'm looking foward to being a subaru owner again, I loved the others I've had. including one old wagon that the shifter used to pop out all the time and I had to pop it back in by hand and an old "ugly" style brumby that had more rust holes than metal in the tray

I've been looking for a subi on gas for the last few weeks, the day after I found this car the govt announces the $2000 rebate for gas retro fitting..... Those bastards. (Am I allowed to say bastards on these boards?)

As far as I'm aware we still don't have a set of forum rules, so why not? Just don't try and sell anything without using the template!

Very nice Subaru, I have the same model (4WD GL) but a sedan, I love it. I'd guess it's a 2" lift looking at those lower-profile tires.

Nice Hanky - that was the kind of car I was after when I was looking. A manual touring wagon is a good thing - keep us updated on your progress with it.

Looks like you have got yourself a very nice starting point for offroading in a Suby anything you do to it from this point can only be a good move.

Looks like a good ride you've got lined up... I was wondering, is the gas tank in the boot space or under the car (with the lift kit allowing more clearance for a g-tank)?

I have wondered if this is the go with the lift to fit the tank, a subie on gas would be cheap as to run. You still got a big petrol tank (not that you'd want it) or just a small one for those little emergencies?

Anyway, enough with the questions, there'll be plenty more where that came from for later

I picked up the Subi yesterday, very happy with it so far!!!

I'll get a few more pics on the weekend if I can stop driving it for long enough.

The gas tank is located in the rear of the wagon, mounted longways as opposed to across the car, I'll get a pic for you soon.
