They might work, but yes they are a waste of time and money. A ricer mate of mine installed something very similar on his B16A VTEC converted Civic. He said he honestly felt no difference in the seat of the pants dyno. When he ended up having the car dynoed at a later date (with various other mods since the module) they found the car made more horsepower without it. He also reckons it was the cause of several O2 sensor failures, although I'm not convinced of this.

My view is Honda engines make negative horsepower because they spin the wrong way. Seriously though, he honestly wishes he never bought the module. I can see how they could possibly work however going by my mate's experience I wouldn't touch one.

I think you'd be better off spending the money on a new set of plugs or putting it toward a new set of leads or K&N replacement air filter.

Well I wouldn't say it's got no benefit, but I reckon I've got better things to waste my money on.

I'm pretty sure all it is is a resistor that goes inline with the tps to trick the ecu into running a little rich.

I beleive it goes inline with the intake air temp sensor or MAP sensor to achieve that effect, halfway down the page it says that it "makes your car think the incoming air is colder than it is".

I reckon it'd be more effective than those dodgee voltage stabalisers though.
