Also spotted in the same paper (Sunday Times WA) was an EJ22 powered Brumby for aprox $8000, a little steep also in my opinion.

I have done the sums and it compares.
It would save someone a great deal of time and hassle.
1989 Subaru WonderBrumby II
EJ22 Dual range AWD lifted, widened and much happier now thanks very much.
1991 L Series wagon, white and perfectly normal apart from the ticking, no I think that is normal.
Jet boat..webbered EA81 with a hybrid tin dish welded and glued to it.

Considering there isnt any extras with the wagon, like i got with mine - front mount bull bar and alloy 14" wheels, and not a tourer, I still say steep.'[4MUFF wrote:']there both justifyed in a way, people know they are sort after cars.

And comparing what a '86 RX goes for now (at least 1/2 that now for average one), it would want to be good or very negotiable!

Yeah remember the old rule....no matter how cool a car may be, it's only worth what somebody will pay for it. They both seem quite steep, you may be able to build the Brumby for that price. The RX would have to be REALLY good original condition for that price.

if its a gen rx wagon it should have heaps more extras than a wagon thats just had a ea82t slaped in it? (eg lsd rear, rear disc brakes, inner etc)subanator wrote:Considering there isnt any extras with the wagon, like i got with mine - front mount bull bar and alloy 14" wheels, and not a tourer, I still say steep.

Yeah good point, a good load of "extras" too.'[4MUFF wrote:']if its a gen rx wagon it should have heaps more extras than a wagon thats just had a ea82t slaped in it? (eg lsd rear, rear disc brakes, inner etc)
I have seen such a wagon as described in the original post in a Maccas drive through earlier this year in Pt Kennedy. I wanted to talk to him, but my missus was too much in a hurry.
It was white and had the GL-10 spec badging and turbo stickers, tourer roof, would have been a "grey" import by the number plate series (10 + years).
