these are NOT my radiators, however I have purchased 3 , mostly around the $199 and $210 mark and they have been good, as my install treads have shown.

after a bit of a 4 month supply drought ( I was wanting a Manual rad for my EJ transplant), It appears that a new shipment has finally arrived and there is a bit of a price war going on. Given that these probably all came from an order placed 6mths ago, they are probably all pre-$AU depreciation, so I think this will be the best deal for some time.

is there any cooling differences between auto and manual radiators?

would it advisable to use the "auto cooler" in the auto radiator for a WTAIC set-up??

Auto radiators have a transmission heat exchanger on the bottom tank. Manual radiators don't...

If you're towing, they say it's a good idea to fit a transmission oil cooler (air cooler) in addition to what the radiator already does.

Mind you, after 2 failed top tanks, I replaced my OEM radiator with a full alluminium one from Koyorad. This is a manual transmission unit and as I have an auto, I'm relying on the air cooler alone to do the job for the tranny oil.

I'm going to upgrade the air cooler and fit a bigger one before summer hits, though.

Not quite 100% on the question, but the "water/engine coolant" part of the radiator gets quite hot, the auto fluid also gets hot so it gets cooled down only to the temperature of the radiator/Engine/coolant, by being run through the integral but "flow-seperate" auto fluid part of the radiator.

But the radiator body is still quite hot in comparison to the surrounding air ( hence its use to feed heat to the car "heater" ) so if you are forcing air through the separate but physically connected auto fluid galleys of the radiator for your turbo/carb air intake, its going to heat up that air, not cool it down.

there would only be very marginal difference in water/coolant/engine cooling between the auto and manusl radiators. The silver brumby is a manual and was/is running a standard bronze auto radiator when I purchased it, and its been 110% reliable in hot weather.
