Hi All,
Has anyone used the Ultratune shops to service their Soob's ?
Any good/bad or indifferent stories ?
Looking at using them for the standard 10k service (my soob really needs a good looking over especially a tune up ) just wondered if anyone had feedback.
Reason is I think my local mechanic just does what he thinks is necessary rather than an objective overall view.
What do others think on these boards ?
Ultratune servicing ? - anyone used them ?

9 times out of 10 the bloke at Ultratune will be pretty much the same kind of guy at your local "Bob's Mechanical". Only possible advantages of taking your car to a franchised workshop is they tend to have a better service structure, ie they do look at your car for wear.
Remember its pretty much guarunteed that the apprentice will be the one working on your car at a larger shop. This is usually fine, although you get the odd one tightening up the sump plug with the rattle gun....

I used an ultra tune in brisbane about 6 years ago, paid for a premium service,( ie get a dyno tune as well as service) and all i got was an oil & plug change for three hundred odd dollars.
Never been back, I now use a mechanic thats in a three man opperation
( small shop ) and he is honest timely and very good on parts pricing.
little shops cant afford to burn their clients so i stick with them.
My 2cents worth anyway
