Fitting SAAS 51mm Tacho
Fitting SAAS 51mm Tacho
I bought a Tacho mainly only to do occasional tests on my Oil pressure with my oil pressure gauge and with the Tacho reading 2000 rpm while I check the oil pressure. I Have the black wire to ground and the orange to battery thats easy but the RPM Green signal wire has to be fitted to a wire on the vehicle harness, has anyone got any clues where it could be fitted easily. Im not worried about fitting this Tacho or the oil pressure gauge permanently it will be only for occasional testing oil pressure reading.

What vehicle. If it is a Brumby or L series, simply connect it to the NEGATIVE side of the ignition coil

Yes the green signal wire should go to the Neg- side of the coil, I don't know if this is connected to a wire that goes into the cabin somewhere. It would if you had a Brum with the 6 gauge tacho style instrument cluster.
Will it ever end!?

If you're testing from under the bonnet, then just connect like this..
Black to negative (-) side of the battery
Orange to positive (+) side of the battery
Grean to the negative (-) side of the coil
