Liberty wheels to fit a 92 GX AWD wagon?
Hi, the car has the original 14'' wheels.
Looking at fitting off road tyres an seems 15'' is needed for this.
I have seen some nice ones from a 2001 model, will they have a different stud pattern?
Can someone tell me what offset they are, 5x1__?
Thanks for any helpfull info

The easiest way to put it , would be, to fit a all terrain on the 14's , you can put nangkang FT7's or known as 4*4WD.If go. Or all 5 stud subaru wheels that are 5 stud will fit the five stud hub. Impreza and liberty wheels are 55 off set and outback and forester are 48 off set.
After all that, the chance of a 27 inch tire all terrain fitting with out a lift kit is unlikely. Some may have done it , but i bet it rubs. I have had 27 inch tires on a liberty with a 2 inch lift and st5ill had rubbing.

Cheers

Forester rims are very cheap second hand and will have same stud patterns as your liberty but also have less offset which helps stop larger tyres rubbing on the body but a body lift or forester/outback struts would also be required. If you are fitting off road tyres then more ground clearance is a good thing anyway.

Careful with that - its because of the offset Forester/Outback rims has - it will fit but depending on the tyre size tho. - Someone I know has Outback rims on his Liberty and rubs on the struts, but has to use spacers and its illegal*- he didnt want to waste the tyres tho..Liberty Valance wrote:Forester rims are very cheap second hand and will have same stud patterns as your liberty but also have less offset which helps stop larger tyres rubbing on the body but a body lift or forester/outback struts would also be required.
