Brumby Uni joint part number

Post by El_Freddo » Fri Feb 15, 2013 11:11 pm

G'day,

I'm after the part number for the brumby's uni joint in the prop/tail shaft.

I've got one that's on the way out on Sunnie the Brumby and I figure I might as well swap both out at the same time...

Cheers

Just managed to find this unit, but not 100% confident on the two part numbers provided.

Cheers

RUJ1781 is the correct number for the aftermarket version

sounds awfully familiar - that R generally means Paul is steering you towards repco - 1781 likely to work elsewhere stores

The R has noting to do with Repco.

RUJ1781 is a Hardy Spicer number

Nope - the R determines where the retainer ring is - on the yoke or in the flange. From memory the brumby's is on the yoke (I should know this, I just had the tail shaft in my hand when I was in the shed!)

consider my head pulled in - been in repco too recently, or maybe repco owns HS or they succumbed to repco part numbering ?
