Never actually done or looked at swapping front strut cartridges of MY or L Series - as in re-using the lower section that bolts to the front knuckle, unscrewing the lock ring that holds cartridge in this section.
If you have done it and can give any tips on tools, special tools etc.
Case of coupla times bitten, coupla times shy with other Jap stuff, butchers before or corroded threads .....
swapping MY L strut cartridges ??

the new genuine struts came with a label describing as 84 - 92 +83 4WD fr strut left - right and they are sealed pressed in non reco able, also continues to suggest +83 can be used to replace their reco able strut.
I need a pair of front struts from an 82/83 4WD that are tired but not damaged so I can make use of my gas inserts - got a pair PM me please .....
