MY front end saggy

Post by stinky » Mon May 29, 2006 3:35 pm

My front end appears to be a bit saggy after doing the EJ conversion ( more weight I guess ). I currently have standard front struts/springs with a shockie sitting behind it ( usual form of dual shock ) which is pin to pin.

I have a set of gas struts but one has a broken strut-top. So I figure I should get them both retopped, and maybe put king springs onto them.

For the shocks I was thinking of putting in a pin to eye converter at the bottom and then use the pump up shocks that a lot of guys run in the rear out of a commodore or wherever they're from.

What are people's thoughts on this?

I also want to up my tyre size a bit ... thinking of 28 maybe 29" so will need to get a set of 15" rims. I believe the Navara offset ones fit on with a redrill of hubs or rims. Does anyone have measurements that I can go to a wreckers / wheel shop and make sure I get the correct offset etc? would prefer second hand as I'll probably be redrilling the rims rather than the hubs ( at least at first ).

I think most Navaras use 16"? Could be wrong.

My recommendation would be to use King Springs, but stick with 14s and 27s.
Monster Subaru sold to a good home!! Still a Subaru owner. Will try stay in the Ausubaru loop. Sorry
