Hey guys, you may remember my post a while back asking about stud patterns and whatnot. Well, I abandoned that idea.

This is the completed project. Still needs a polish and wash.

Just have to put the exterior trim, mirrors back on. I have to wait a few more weeks before the paint job is hard enough to polish- we only painted it on Saturday, and there's quite a bit of overspray.

I'm also planning to take the power steering from my other 82 touring wagon, just have to find out how to do it

easy to do power steer install....just take all lines/pump and rack and replace your brumbys steering.....not a hard job at all.....

Yeah, the stock steering really sucks. It's also proving difficult to align the new steering wheel properly, as it's not registered and I can't drive on the road.

oh ok....if you just drive it forward a few mtrs in a striaght line you should get the wheels centred and then take the steering wheel off the colum and put it back level.....a whell alignment will get it perfect tho.....were are you...what location...state?

I have a small paddock, I got it pretty accurate. No doubt it will be slightly off, though. Like, one notch.

Looking to build an EJ18 Turbo in it, how much are they worth/would it fit without major modification?

EJ18 turbo? Not a factory motor, more a concoction of parts.

So to clarify, SOHC turbo or DOHC turbo?

Well, I am still learning about the Subaru motor.
After all, I am only seventeen. Long way to come yet. Another five years and I'll be a pro. :P

Don't know what you meant by "not worth it". I can honestly say that the first time you lay 4 strips of rubber taking off up the street makes it worth it. I can say being able to step on the loud pedal in your dorky old Subaru and reel in that HSV that's gunning it is worth it. And yes, I can say that the cop who pulls you over and issues you with a defect notice because your car noticeably hauls arse still makes the conversion worth it.

Whats not "worth it"? An 'EJ18 turbo'. :P

I do have to say though, nice brumby!

Haha, yeah, that's pretty true. I meant the cost and the amount of labour and inevitable fuck ups by "not worth it"
