Vortex CV shafts same as L's ?

Post by steptoe » Mon Oct 10, 2011 11:05 am

OK, I know the Vortexes were all mpfi so expect they all got 25 spline shafts on the front drive stubs, or was that only for 4WD versions.

Is a front CV shaft for 4WD Vortex same as that of a mpfi 25 splined 4WD L Series sedan and wagon?

I would have thought yes to this... The front end is the essentially the same as the L series when you remove the body.

But I have not tried a Vortex CV on an L series

I'm going to go with yes also but it's best just to count them. Never can tell if someone has ever changed the box and shafts over.

+1 ,I believe are!! at least for the 4WD. But as the other guys said.. BTW My understanding is if you had an XT6 Vortex (Good luck down under) there would be extra length with those shafts:D
