Strange 14" Rim on L series

Post by Wagonman » Tue Oct 04, 2011 10:44 pm

I was down south in australind on the weekend. I happened to see this rim that i've never seen before kicking around on an white L series wagon. Who ever drove it was at the same sportsfest event i was but i didnt get to meet them. I managed to snap a pic though..

Anyone know where they are from?

I'm pretty sure there was a small run of these done back in the day as a custom job. I've seen them around but they're hard to find!

Cheers

speaking of this the triumph im helping the grandfather inlaw to restore runs a factory race style locking mechanism (single screw on locking cap... ill find a pic to explain ) but to bolt that setup on it uses a 4x140 stud pattern im think ill have to measure it but it gets me thinking that,d look sweet

nah i was thinking different rims... theres a huge range haha i was just thinking how easy a tyre change would be hahahaha unfortunatly their considered to dangerous for onroad use these days unless the vehicle was originally manufactured with them

I really like the look of them. Wonder if I could track the car down and offer them something :)
