Simpson Crossing

Post by Jack » Sat May 20, 2006 3:27 pm

I'm looking at taking the Brumby for a trip across the Simpson at the end of June. If anyone has done the Simpson in a Subaru, I'd appreciate it a lot if you could give me some top tips to help make my crossing as trouble free as possible.

I was thinking of taking 40 litres of fuel in jerry cans, but don't know if that's enough.

If anyone else is interested in joining in, let me know. We have 3 vehicles so far (Pajero, Hilux, and Brumby) and we'll be departing from Toowoomba on 25th June for an east-west crossing.

When we did the Simpson way back in '99 we saw a stock L series along the way. Apparently they didn't have any trouble at all.
