L Series RX 4speed auto electronic control module

these 4 speeds were electronic weren't they ?

anyone know where the control module is fitted ?

I don't recall ever seeing a 4 speed RX. In the Vortex though the control unit is fitted in behind the cover trims behind the passengers seat. That is just beside where the back passengers legs would be.

thanks Fang, but something wrong with my PC. it has the latest pdf reader but gives me a nice white screen and absolutely nothing else. I always seem to get this, dunno why tho. I'll try at library later, if they have not blocked this site by now !!

FSM stands for ?

the 4sp auto rx's ran a different ecu to th ones we got here.i have one if anyone s interested.

arr, so postie , you are saying ecu as in engine computer also controls the auto , makes sense too I suppose ! so the plug would have more wires than normal too. I am yet to see my ecu

yep just like a lib you need the ecu and tcu matched to control the auto.although i do believe you can get them to manual shift .

manual shift ? arr yes you should be able to with a lot of know how..seven buttons on the dash P R N 1 2 3 4 !!
