No... it looked in good order so I did not fit new button....Spoke to a local mechanic here to see if he would fiddle with the tuning but he wasn't interested. Said that because it was a hybrid (composite car made from bitsa this and bitsa that) that he would rather pass...so I am taking it down to Brisbane when I get back from Windorah to where it was tuned before I bought it. Local mechanic and I spoke about the car for a while and I appreciate his honesty. would rather he came out up front than muck about with it and charge me and still have issues with it because he can't sort the tune out.

That'd be right, I think mine is the same. Absolutely no listing in latest Bosch book for any Subie after EA81, looks like they skipped EA82 then no more dizzies in Subes dawned on me just then
I thought a listing may show the rotor part number, so bugger.
The Bosch GH623 is a pretty close contender if it is 32mm from the base to the tip of the terminals inside, 66mm outside from base to top of cylinder post, not including coil post.
The rotor button does look like the GH605 that goes with GH617 capped Hitachi
Bosch GH623 cross refs to:
a REPCO # JP672 (same for Fuel Miser)
and Nissan # 22162-G5711
and Echlin EP135
GH623 fits a lot of Nissans including Ford Corsair 6/91 on
So, Trevor, your dizzy or whole engine may be from an AX7 AWD Vortex Turbo!!

Seriously must be the time of year for misfiring ea82T's,mine's been running like a pig the last few weeks too, missing and spluttering. We're very lucky too have such a good bunch of knowledgeable blokes on this site passing on their wealth of info, spark plug shortcuts, now the exact cap n rotor number, excellent! Now should be just a matter of ordering and those splutters will be history!
