Finally broke the 1000Km barrier!

Post by Falco80 » Thu Aug 18, 2011 10:37 pm

Well i finally got 1000k's out of my last tank in the diesel Forester. Well 1002km's going off the odometer, but only 981km's going by the GPS. Either way i am stoked.
To get that kind of range out of an AWD car the size of the Forester is pretty damn good i think! I was surprised because i never set out to get max economy from this tank. I drove it normally all week and gave it a bit of my right foot in all the usual places i like to. :pWhen i filled up again i squeezed in 59.65 litres. If it's a 64l tank, then i still had a few litres in reserve. I've worked out i can do at least 100ks once the fuel light comes on. The boxer diesel feels like it has all bedded in now and i'm very happy with it at the moment.:D
