Thx Dave, it would be good to know for all those doing ej/ea builds:)
I don't think it was Ken Block.......more like Dopey Cock, I was 10' away when it went bang as you were slamming it from 1st to reverse trying to bog it :p

Umm... I'm not sure that this was meant to be a proud moment! It's kinda coming across like the kid racer who puts the possession of his car on the line, looses and then is all smiles cos he's a dick and his response to it all is "I almost had you" while still proud as punch with his car in a heap beside him due to flogging a dead ["performance"] horse.

Hope you get the picture!

Cheers

I think the welded rear diff was probably the end of the box, Guy was just having a bit of fun as it was just about unstoppable that day.

Yeah how good is a locked rear end?! Can't wait for Taza's unit to be tested and available to purchase. That is going to be one sweet day!

The gearbox going bang - was this the R&P that guyph blew a while ago?

Cheers

Yeah Guyph, I think a stock standard clutch will be perfectly fine for you.
It's a stock motor so a stock clutch should suit. What's more it's in a lighter car than standard. You are planning to have 1.5 low range. There should be no reason at all you couldn't get 100k+ mileage out of a new clutch given proper driving style.
