Aw shit, I'm getting the "I wants", but I don't just want a piece, I want the WHOLE thing, carbs and matching block!

Bugger this stuff called money and lack of it for times like these!

Cheers

Damn plastic !!
You know you are getting old when the candles on your birthday cake start to cost more than the cake itself.

Something I'm NOT going to get! VisaDebit maybe but not a credit card. Besides - the minister for finance and fun has one already so I'll just use that one when needed and have permission

But saying this.. if you setup the EA81S with the right carby combo then you could have something pretty special. The EA81 engine is one of the most indestructible engines around (I have seen some pretty sad ones during the rally days) but all in all they were/are pretty strong.
What!! This is the first post I have ever read that says that the EA81S is mediocre. Well I'll be.

$612!!!! Holy crap!

I don't think I'll be getting a set of these if they're all going for that price! I could get all the bare essentials together for an EJ conversion for that price!

Glad I was sitting down when I checked the end of the auction...

Add $100 or more for two gasket kits

Know what mine are worth on ebay for when I no longer have a use - not anyday soon.
Not always a bargain when bought at auction eh?

I thought the original buy it now for $350 was asking a bit much! I guess someone else had something in mind with that purchase price! You'd hope that price included the old block too!! I'd probably be relieved to hear that and think it an acceptable price for what it is and its rarity...

.... I'm thinking maybe I should sell my dualie EA81, after seeing that price for just the carbs! I could do with that kind of money!
