5MT front diff - specs?

Post by El_Freddo » Mon Jul 25, 2011 6:25 pm

G'day all,

I've done some searching to try and find some information about the front diff.

I've been wondering if it is based on the r180 as I know that it is physically lager than the r160 but not any wider.

Does anyone know any more information about the front diff and it's design/category?

Cheers

Bennie

I'd be interested to know some more info on it aswell. This could help for a future locker project :D

I haz a spare R180 at the shop that can be stripped and compared.

I also have plenty of front diffs from various gearboxes :)
You know you are getting old when the candles on your birthday cake start to cost more than the cake itself.

Yeah that'd be great if you could Paul. Pics and measurements would be appreciated.

My gut feeling is that it is a modified R180 carrier - but have not been able to really have a good look at it!
