Unfortuantely I think you'd have difficulty giving it away for free.
I had that problem with a perfectly good Legacy GT Turbo AWD Automatic trans with low kms. In the end I finally found someone willing to take it, but I had to deliver it myself.

Guyph on the other hand, I beleive he recently sold an auto trans from an Outback I think? But also took ages to find someone, and had to ship it interstate too.

If you can hold out for long enough you might find someone willing to take it, or even buy it, but I rekon it will be a long time!

Yeah i was lucky to find my buyer, he used it in a build up car, it was a newish 4.44 box:)

Keep it, advertise it everywhere and hope the very few isolated people that own auto l series have an issue with there's and want to fix it:)

2WD or 4WD or AWD box? FWD was worth about 5 bucks as scrap and the AWD E4AT I scrapped a few years back now [wish I didn't coz I still see Neville wants one] was worth just a few bucks more in bare alloy.

Correction - my son tells me it is NOT L series! It is a four wheel drive auto box out of a 1983 Leonie to suit suit an EA81 engine.

Likely same or very similar to L Series - Jatco, likely interchangeable. Gosh, where were you when Hylton needed an auto 4WD conversion for his Brumby? List it in for sales and see what response you get is best shot

Sorry to be short and sharp, but they're good for boat anchors... That's about it these days :(
