L-Series Mods

Post by alx92 » Thu May 12, 2011 1:36 pm

G'day all, im new to the world of subaru, having just bought a stock standards 1990 L-Series Sportswagon.

As fun as the little car is standard, id love to do some mods to improve its on and off road capabilities.

As im new to the cars, what are some good recommended mods? Mainly lifting, wheels/tyres, front seats (too long in the standard seats and i think ill do my back in lol) and some engine and gearbox mods.

Yeah as Steptoe has already mentioned.

I personally reckon this thread is a good one to check out: Ruby Scoo's build

Engine mods - here's how to go about an EJ conversion (guide only) if you're looking down that road.

There are plenty of other things to do with these as well, please don't think I'm the only contributor to these things, Guyph has a great thread about his L series that's undergoing its second EJ conversion from EJ22 to EJ25.

There is plenty of reading on this forum, you'll be surprised what you can dig up with the search function!

Cheers
