Is the RS wiring loom from an auto 1/2 cut? if so then you souldn't have any troubles if you put the whole loom in and I'd use the RS auto TCU

Yes, there aftermarket auto trans ECUs, but have heard few good reports. They expensive, and not many people has expertise in setting them up.

I would try and swap your wiring loom for an auto one, will make you're life a lot easier.

Do you mean.. use the EJ22 NA harness to run the EJ20T engine? if so then the answer is no. Completely different setup. I'm sure there is plenty of guys (on RS Liberty Club) that would have an auto loom that would be happy to sell or swap with you but if you're looking to change to manual later on then I'd wait and do the change all at once, otherwise you're going to end up buying lots of Nurofen ;)
