straight up figure $$$
agreed with el freddo
ive had my L for a while 2 years, first car and im only 19 and i can wish all i want but truth is noone on here wants to see another beautiful subaru go down the drain and get crushed cause somone was a f*cktard (excuse my leet)
the idea of a wrx brumby are great with just the motor they have more than enough traction and power to toast 99% of things around, but in that same sentence my L which is still dam near stock will take on a lot of things and in the wet im only afraid of WRXs
if you must go rwd race car out of a brumby you need the 2.0 turbo 1500 or 2000 for a low k, 6 speed box and adaptors to run rwd another 2000 if you can get one, rear suspension needs to be custom so theres about 5000
and of course you need to chicken valve and fluffy dice so theres another 250
im thinking you might get a little change from 15grand
basically stick to your silvia

alright, im not going for the wrx motor to be some hoony ass prick, ive got a daily brumby, and thinking of gettin this other turbo one and do it up hard out, because i love brumbys
and ill get my old brither to drive it majortiy of the time, and the silvia has a s14 sr20 motor hard out worked, then a turbo put on it
set up for drifting but cant be bothered drifting it.

A well put together brumby with WRX drive train is the go I reckon, I too would love one and when I first got on to this forum I was jumping up and down for a WRX conversion on my L - but since then have grown up and learned a few things along the way - don't get me wrong, only a few...
Go the tried and tested route if you're going to do it. If it were me I'd be sticking with the AWD as I've previously mentioned. You'd have better handling in general and especially in the wet. AWD is not a bad thing - more traction the better especially when you're in the performance game, spinning a wheel or two gets you no where fast!
All the best with it, make sure you get a detailed build up thread for your ride, pics pics pics is what its all about

Cheers
