trash and treasure post idea

Post by steptoe » Tue Jan 04, 2011 11:08 pm

Not asking admin to create another heading but thought worth suggesting that before you do throw anything out just list it as a trash and treasure and the series, rather than a for sale thread with the idea the trash would be at minimal cost if any to the new owner plus postage - might have a more psycholigical approach to shifting it for nix in SELL posts

Worked recently for me when thinking of someone who may want to hoard some bits I had that would otherwise have gone to cash for sCRAP, turned out I had somethin' else that was to be scrapped but desired and Nev had something I wanted. No money exchanged other than the recipient of the gut busting parcel paid its way - think I still got the better end of the deal somehow, think we are both happy and less stuff to scrap - for time being

Just a suggestion

on the vw forum they have a sectiion called try your luck with a vagrant vw (?)
Basically a trash and trsure thing of where cars and parts are that may or may not be for sale.
Id suggest either in the signature but then it would be huge. I find mine too long as it is, maybe a profile? Like
Facbook only smaller that you can post up your car, links, what you have and what you want.

The problem i find is that im not a paying member and cant post or reply in for sale and locales section

Wasn't this tried some time ago?

I've still got a set of early RX turbo doors with the checker plate interior panels on them. The doors themselves are in good nick but the trims are average. Available to who ever needs/wants them. Pick up in lancefield Vic. makes it difficult to arrange this as I'm no longer living there although this is my home base...

I'm after a Gen 1 EJ alternator - mine's got some bearing noise that I'm not happy with.

Cheers
