put a chicken sanga on top of the motor and the mayo will gravitate towards it

It has poor viscous properties do just take out the sump plug nut.

Althought i am thinking that more info is required :? WHAT are you doing with mayo in the engine  In the words of Pauline... Please Explain.

Mayo

Post by coupe » Fri Apr 21, 2006 6:00 pm

Yes I mean blown head gasket emulsion. I thought only the ford forum people didn't know the old mechanics slang "Mayonaise"
Oh dear
Ok ... The sump is attached to a four litre ford motor and no I am not going to tackle that puppy. Come on people no jokes about tackling puppies, or why have you stuffed puppies in the sump covered in mayo....
Mechanics told me run motor for ten minutes with new oil and filter then drain and change.
Cheers
Pete

Other than that there's not a lot else.

Could try some sort of oil flush if you can still run the engine long enough to warm up the "mayo" and mix in the flush, then drain and run some cheapish oil in it for a few days, then change filter and put in good quality oil of choice.

Any left over water will evaporate once the engine heats up.

Been there, done that

And the winner is

Post by coupe » Fri Apr 21, 2006 8:49 pm

Well i drained the mayo then filled with really cheap oil then ran the car for 10 mins then drained and changed the filter filled up again with cheap oil again then ran the ford for 30 mins .
All the mayo is gone .
As a side note ford oil filters dont have enough room around them for a normal filter spanner .
So i had to make one out of a old 3 cog center wheel of a 18 speed push bike, you cut the 2 outer cogs off and the pedal arm so your left with the small cog and the half drive center, then cut slots in the spaces in between every second tooth, bend the teeth up verticaly on the small cog and it fits the end of the filter.
Cheers Pete
