Guy's - I've just let HDC know he could be getting a delivery today / tomorrow - that is if the delivery van can get up to him ! - HDC garage is at about 900 / 1000 ft above sea level and gets the full blast of snow up at his place - straight off the top's of the Pennine moors!

Still its looking good for being in before yours Jules

My other Christmas prezzie (Beta Evo 250 4t) is apparently delayed and wont now arrive till next week (latest eta that is) :( Promise - piccy's will be posted !

Paul, has the 'dosh' landed with you yet?

It's arrived !

Post by 1111giles » Sat Dec 04, 2010 6:18 am

 Hey Subi folks - the power steering has arrived at HDC Subaru in Hebden Bridge here in Snow bound West Yorkshire UK !

Howard called me up this tea time to say it had arrived. I've not seen it for myself just yet - but will be doing so early next week !:D

Pretty good delivery service I think ! It could have been afew days earlier had it not been for the snow at this end too !

Big thanks to RSR555 (Paul) for being the 'project manager' OZ side, Toonga (Julian) for aiding and abetting Paul in his efforts !, Steptoe (Jonno) for giving me the extended thermo housing and Guyph 01 for agreeing to sell me the kit in the first place.:D
A special thanks also to Subybrumby (Trevor) who first kicked this thread off for me and has been a source of encouragement ever since !:D

I will take some pictures of the kit and it's install as we get to it, will work this out with Howard next week when I see him and the PAS kit !

Looking good folks !:D

Cheers

Hi Scooby folks !
Look what I got ! The PAS Gear has arrived in good condition and Howard and me have pencilled in the 28th Dec to fit it:mrgreen:
I called by HDC and took these snaps of it all.

Jonno - your lunch box might have made it across OZ ok but I am afraid to say that its days of having sarnies put in it are well and truly over:rolleyes:
The housing is A-OK though so a sacrificial lunch box is a small price to pay !
(Awaiting sarcastic comments !).

Jules - Thanks for the Dizzy it seems like a good 'un ! And plenty of vac on the advance/retard unit too:-D Yours is on its way but is cleaner !

Paul - The spiders had all 'done one' scared off by Howard's dog Tilly. (Boxer dog - what else at a Subaru Garage ? :D)

Take a peek at the new colour scheme for Scooby - I wanted a change from red and ended up with this !:D

Will post up images of us fitting the kit to Scoob as it happens !

Keep Scoobin' !

p.s. England 1 KFC Australia 0 hehehe (sorry Paul for re-opening this line). Couldn't resist as I may now be backed into a corner as the Aussies are bound to come back fighting ! (its taken 45 years for England to win by so much so apologies for gloating) :-)

Giles thanks for the update on the cricket scores and the dizzy. :)

Im pretty sure that dizzy powered my EA brumby motor up until its shelving at the workshop

I do like Scoobies new paint scheme but Im worried about the lack of driver visibility.

I saw that box before it left Australia and Im now convinced they use Australian mail to buffer sea containers (same for the lunch box)

AWESOME news Giles.. I'm glad it made it there kinda in one piece (bet those spiders got one hell of a ride). It's strange as this is the email I got today...

Hi Paul,

I have been following this consignment and delivery has been attempted several times I believe but receiver hasn’t been there. I believe they have been in contact with him to arrange a time as they don’t want to keep going there if no one to receive.

Maybe you could contact Howard and find out if this is the case?

Please advise if there is anything I can do to help.

I better reply to him :)

As for the cricket.. I'll let you get some gloating in.. it's been a LONG time for you to be able to :p
