Hi All,
I'm new to this forum. I have now owned 2 subaru's. Our last 2005 Liberty wagon got written off in the hail storms in Melbourne in March. I recently purchased a 2007 Outback 3.0R.
It is only a couple of months out of warranty. I took it to the Glen waverley dealership to point out a couple of problems, they said they would not cover these under warrranty.
1. The door trim (the arm rests) are pitted and it looks like to foam underneath the trim has colapsed. It has happened on all doors. It is not from wear and tear.
2. The front end bushes are gone.
3. The black plastic trim on the top of the door (right near the window) is broken.
has anyone else had these problems. I believe that Subaru should be offering to replace these items as the car is only 3 years old.
Faults with My 2007 subaru Outback
Meanwhile my L series arm rests and door trim are still perfectly fine lol.
Might be worth writing a letter and attaching some photos. Much can be achieved with a well worded letter.

The control arm bushes are common - if you get 50k km out of them your doing well.
There is poly replacements out there which either keep the standard caster, or offset ones which add caster (a good thing).
Trim parts are tough to claim as warranty items - especially when it's out or just about out of warranty.
Have you been to Docklands and asked them?
