fuel squirty thingys

Post by shuffbag » Thu Oct 14, 2010 12:30 am

just before i hit the pillow, tomorrow i think im going to pull the injectors in my recently aquired 85 vortex.
after it not running for some time the fuel pump was shot, no biggy as i had a rx turbo pump laying around. but the injectors arn't clicking (on atempted start or while checking with green connections hooked up), could this be wiring or the injectors?

but what i really want to know, is there any method of removing the injectors with ease? before i start unbolting every thing.

those bolts that hold fuel rails to manifold along the way M8 12mm heads, if they are removed allow the rubber lines in the mdiddle a littl more flexibility, helps prevent smashing pintle caps against thngs

Seems unlikely all 4 injectors would stop working at the same time. I would be thinking they aren't being told to. You can test they are getting a signal with a little test LED. If they are getting the signal then they need to be removed and repaired or replaced. If they aren't then look at ECU first, then maybe a wiring problem (got mice infestation chewing wires? lol).
