tricking a knock sensor

Post by Alex » Thu Sep 16, 2010 4:29 pm

can it be done?

mine is rooted. Retarding the timing and being a general pain in the arse.

can i earth it out? or put some voltage into it to trick it into giving a normal reading?

I will know when my motor is knocking so its sort of just a dumb thing in my eyes.

i know im being a tight arse ahah.

ps. whoever it was that pmd me about getting one, i cleared my pm inbox and cant remember who it was!? whoops. Please pm me again.

thanks boys.

A capacitor in its place should do the trick

I'll have a look in the FSM to work out a suitable rating

Get another one from wreckers? or buy one off ebay for about $50-70 bucks.
