Indicators not working

Post by 95Liberty » Thu Sep 16, 2010 2:47 pm

The other day,my indicators stoped working. The harzard lights still worked though. I got a auto electrician to have a look at it and all of a sudden they worked perfectly and they couldn't find anything wrong.

my little proton ute did this and the boarders lancer as well. seemed to be the hazard switch as the power for the indicaters travels through the hazard switch first. the contacts were cooked
"UNDERSTEER" is when you hit the fence with the front of the car.
"OVERSTEER" is when you hit the fence with the rear of the car.
"HORSEPOWER" is how fast you hit the fence.
"TORQUE" is how far you take the fence with you.

If it works, pull it apart to see why.

Just spray them with contact cleaner, get the nozzle in as far as possible, it's happened to a few of my cars and that usually does the trick, just poo on the contacts.

Yep.. Hazard switch and/or Indicator relay (flasher can)

Also try cleaning the contacts with CO Contact Cleaner and then coat the connections with some of this stuff..
