wondering which hose combo has been used when fitting up L Series rear disc brakes to Brumbies.
Standard MY is steel pipe to back of drum. Some have said they have reshaped steel pipe to fit. The only flexible hose is from body to swing arm.
Q. Was it the MY steel pipe to drum that was reshaped to fit to the calliper and only the steel pipe.
The L rear calliper comes with a short flexible rubber brake hose and a shorter steel brake pipe.
What have youse used?
Jonno
I can see that to retain the flexible rubber hose on the calliper end will facilitate pad change, and look more genuine fitment. Will endeavour along this line

OK , thanks, just come in from doing that - the flexible hose at calliper end joining with the steel line that was off the RX sedan. Storing Brumby original for another time.
I noticed after that my pipe bending was not the best and have a bend right after the union fitting, hard to line up the retainer clip on the rubber insulation of steel pipe. I will give it another shot another day. No pics needed , I took some as I went along. Yet to test drive, will wait 'til daylight, no one else around. Was to much of a hurry to do my stop distance comparo.
Only took me seven hours _ I dismantled and cleaned out rusty gunk and chased up seal kit, coming tomorrow for next time.
Thanks Julian
