Warrenty Replacement By other than Subaru dealer

I need to get my centre diff replaced, and it should be done under warranty as the car is only 18 months and 42,000km old.

My local dealer is absolutely pathetic and the work they do is really crap. I know by personal experience, a number of other Subaru drivers that have similar complaints, and stories from the mechanic I go to.

Has anyone successfully got a warranty replacement done by a mechanic other than the local licensed subaru dealer?

Alternatviely, does anyone know of a good Subaru dealer in the Sydney or South of Sydney area that has the knowledge, tools and personnel to change a centre diff without ripping the whole drive train out?
