Offroad racing fans will probably remember the blue WRX sedan that entered the Baja 1000 back in 2006. From memory it only made it to the 50 mile marker although it did get a lot of attention.
The owner hasn't given up on his Baja dream however and has been slowly modifying the same WRX to handle the terrain better. You can see his build thread on race-dezert.com here
