L-Series Speedos

can you wind the odomoter back on an L-series speedo?

Im interested as i am converting to ea82t, & putting the turbo dash in and would like the same reading as what the old dash was.....

yes it can be done. pop it apart,pop the dial out, set it, put it back in. did the same thing to a sherpa dash years ago ( it reads '0' as I rebuilt the car.)

I just received one from NZ today - a RX turbo dash (diff lock, etc) it has 192k on it. The same one in my car now has 107k

Only paid NZ$25 for the dash - finding one of similar kms might be the way to go.

ive just lifted my L series 3" and now the speedo cable doesnt reach....which one should i get so it reaches and fits..?
cant find the post of the discussion of the different speedo cables...

got one from a ea81 Leone front wheel drive
fits with a bit of left over length..
perfect for an L with a 3" lift
