[Melb] Mechanic with turbo conversion experience wanted

Post by robbied » Wed Mar 31, 2010 3:51 pm

Hi guys,

Great forum you have here!

I recently picked up a JDM TT Legacy which has been converted to a single turbo setup pretty sloppily.
There are loose vacuum lines and a TurboLink control module wired in.
It's a little too advance for me to try and setup on my own.

Im pretty sure all the parts are there, I just need someone with the know how to connect it up right.

Anyone know a good mechanic with Subaru turbo conversion experience?

Cheers

You might have a little trouble finding someone to do it. Unless money is not an issue.

What you might find a goer is doing some research on what you've got and what you hope to achieve as others may have done it already. Once you've learned some info thats relevent to your project, have a play then critique if it doesn't work as you planned.

If wiring is an issue, there will be some diagrams around somewhere that you'll be able to work with. These should solve your problems if you can read a wiring diagram, trace wires and neatly wire things together, sometimes by crimping and others by soldiering.

Have a hunt around, you'll be surprised what you can find around here and on the rest of the net!

Cheers and good luck!

Thanks for the reply El Freddo.

I will try to work out the vaccum hose routing.

I'd even be happy for a forum member with turbo engine swap expeirence to help me out (with payment for their time of course)
I know some of you guys have done engine swaps before.

I will try my best to work it all out but if anyone can help it would be appreciated.
