I think the GT could be better.
I think the GT could be better.
Im still thinking my 01 Forester GT is getting robbed of some power. Im pretty sure i still get better performance with my MAF sensor unpluged putting the ECU in limp mode.
Thoughs that have followed my other post about problems with my Forester will know the problems i was having before were caused by an extreamily dirty MAF sensor. The faults i was having are gone but i still think im getting robbed of some power.
With the MAF sensor unpluged i assume there are a few sensors the eCU simply ignores. Anyone know which ones?? The motor has done close to 200 thousand kms but the condition of the motor is fine.
Could the o2 sensors (there are 2 in this) be playing up a little since i think they have never ever been replaced? Or should i still be suspect of the MAF sensor.

The o2 sensor is ignored any time the turbo is making positive boost so i doubt it.
Im pretty sure that only the MAF is ignored when its unplugged

Or any sensors if they match?? I don't mind Dave

I already got a manual boost controler in it.
I don't think so BobbyJimmy.

Actually, he's right.Subarino wrote:I don't think so BobbyJimmy.
The front o2 sensor is at the Y join below the drivers side head, the EGT sensor is just before the turbo and the rear o2 sensor is at the rear of the dump pipe
