Those photos look very similar to when my box went bang and could only select 5th gear.

By they way where can you get straight cut gear sets from. As i have a box of bits left from my busted gearbox.
Put straight cuts in if you can afford it, I did in mine when it blew 2nd and i would never look back at doing it And thats a girly break too
I'm trying to blow up my box but it seems I am too gentle!
Cheers

Turbos dont help with breaking them mine already had redline oil in it as 2nd and 3rd synchro where shot. Mine had a hard life from being in a race/ hill climb car for a while.
So i think it was just a mater of time with that gear box for me.
So many optioins not enough time or money:confused:

Be warned about straight cut gears - if you put them in the higher gears (3rd to 5th) you'll need some ear muffs while you're cruising around as straight cut gears will whine like a little bitch that hasn't got her way.

First and second I don't see a problem with, they may make some noise while in use but you're probabily not going to be there for long while cruising - and when you are there for a while I dare say that'll be when you'll be using their strength if you catch my drift (or you're in one ) :p

Cheers

Mine has had a hard life since i got it, but it broke when i was driving like a granny, So got a 1st and 2nd from bluesteel and put them in, love the noise, make people look at me the whole time like its busted! But the box has to come out as 2nd gear synchro wasnt replaced so new one to go in and im pretty sure i have bent the clutch fork too
