Hey Ken, Welcome. I have a EJ22 4EAT LSD Brumby that I'm building ATM. I bought the car with these already fitted and the hope of just getting in, and racing rally. but it was a POS, and needed a full rebuild (replacement would have been a better idea) Feel free to ask any questions atall, Im all too happy to help. Cheers mate, Rohan M

thanks for reply ,,i do have couple of q's for ya ,if i use the auto does it fit in the tunnel and what cv's and shafts do you use ? do you also use the liberty diff ? i have noticed some people make a adapter and just use the ea81 4speed ,and i have read posts on this and the flywheel modes needed ,but i couldnt find out if the flywheel needs to be spaced out from the crank the same thickness as the adapter plate "12mm" ,,be great if you or anyone could answer this ,,,,thanks

Unfortunately I haven't found an auto from a lib that fits yet. I have put a lift kit in mine to give it a bit of space.

yea just like that one ,,,one question though,if i use a 12mm thick adapter plate do i also have to space out the ea flywheel 12mm ,same as adapter ?i have read a few post on flywheel mods ,like elongating holes in the flywheel to bolt it to ej but cant find any info on whether it needs spacing ,is that measurement "12mm" a differance in ea to ej bellhousing ?thanks guys ,,,khanacross

hey sorry matey, flywheel doesnt need spacing from the crank, the 12mm plate makes up for the gbox input shaft being 12mm longer than an ej one.

my auto fits, but like i say, i didnt fit it. looks as though a little bit of beating is required, and to remove a nutsert bit (gbox mount???) on the drivers side. I'll let u know how I go fitting it back soon.

you can easily make the adapter plate by greasing the faces of gbox and engine and putting the cardboard on . check around at offroadingsubarus.com for phiz did a demo, walkthrough on this, cheers mate, Rohan.
