Brumby/WRX-ECU mounting

Hey Suba-dudes,

Am working on the above conversion and want to install air-con and have discovered the evaporator has to go where the ecu is currently mounted (behind the glove box) and there is not enough play in the wiring to move the ecu any further down. Bugger. Went to a plastic fabricator to get a price on a water/heat proof box 200x200x50 to mount in the engine bay to put the ecu in and they wanted $150-200 to make it. I told them to go F themselves. Was wondering what other people have done? Anybody got any ideas how to get around this problem?All help gratefully recieved.

hey man, you can get a lunch box to put your ecu into, just get the clear one, with 2 blue clips down the sides and a blue seal. screw the lid down, silicone the wiring through the other half, then clip it on. thats what i would do in your sitch. cheers, rohan
