If not could i use a WRX one?
Cheers,
Sam

Don't know of any kits.
WRX linkages are pretty different to L ones so can't see that working.
Best bet I'd say would be to modify a standard L linkage. Need to compare a standard and short-shift WRX one to see what the difference is with those. I think part of it needs to be a little shorter or a little longer, should just be a simple matter of cutting and welding back together.

EJ20 + WRX gearbox + WRX short shifter.
In a Vortex it's practically a bolt-in
(although strangely one of the only parts that needs welding in an EJ conversion is actually the shifter linkage!)

it is for the ea81 box but Im sure it is the same for the ea82 gearbox
there is a picture right at the bottom of the page which shows what to do to make a short shift

when i make up my box for the race car ive developed a few options
first is that i want/need oil spray pretty easy to do but not really necessary for road cars
the others were shorter shifts so thought about pulling the box appart and removing syncros or putting the ej inteernals in includng a limmitied slip diff

^^^ what did he say??
As for the short shifter.. like most have said it's just a case of repositioning the pivot point. This is done by raising the position of the gear selector rod higher up the gear shifter lever.
