2000 outback fuel filter location

Would anyone be able to tell me where the fuel filter is located. Everywhere i've looked tells me its a big black canister in the engine bay but i can't seem to find it.:confused:

The fuel filter is inside the fuel tank, i think drivers side.

Yep make sure you get the two o rings aswell as the filter

there should be one in the engine bay also. Top right corner in the engine bay.

Lift the rear seat base (drivers side), pull back the plastic flap and unbolt the inspection cover. Then you will see the top of the fuel tank and the pump assembly. Remove all bolts and pull out of tank, you will now see the filter.
