Way too much sand stuck to my vehicle !

Post by Clearwater99 » Sun Mar 19, 2006 7:59 am

Hello all well it has been another month in the strezleki desert for me .. and on my brake I went to Double Island Point beach fishing

Man i have never had to remove so much sand from a car .. there was all foam over the beach and it was unavoidable .. when i got home to do the standard wash the car thing there was so much sand on the drive way i had to use a shovel and wheel barrow to clean up afterwoods ! all the foam stuck to the side and under the body of the car and it dried as great lumps of sand .

It took me 3 hours to clean (most of the sand off) I even had to go to bunnings to buy a 60 dollar gerni water jet cleaner. Caught a bunch of fish though. )

This time out at work they have a policy of all field drivers must undergo a recreational 4x4 approved driving training course . (theory has it soon in SA they will be required to go into national parks)
Coruse was cool learnt a few tricks about 4wd'n that won't go to waste. Got to drive a brand new nissan navara up a supposed dune that was for the stop and reverse back down test, I was going for it, to get right up the top (which i would have done untill the instructor told me to STOP !)

damn i wish i could take out the soob and go for a cain all over the dunes out there and on the salt pans .. sure would turn a few heads ..
