XT Forrester 5 Speed Ratios ??

Post by Checkers » Sun Nov 29, 2009 9:39 pm

After searching all over the place and finding a heap of info Seagull and other had posted I still can not find ratio info on a JDM Forester Turbo MY01-02 Transmission Code - TY755VB2AA

Everywhere I look tell sm it is a 4.44 R&P but no ratios.

Anyone have any info ?

I am thinking of using it in an RX L Series with an EJ 22 running a lift and 215 x 75 x 15 tyres.

Looks like it might be this in the XT box :

1st 3.454
2nd 2.062
3rd 1.366
4th 0.972
5th 0.738
Rev 3.333
R&P 4.44

Where I have this ATM:

1st - 3.545
2nd - 1.947
3rd - 1.366
4th - 0.972
5th - 0.780
Rev - 3.416
Low Reduction - 1.592
R&P 3.9

So that would mean with the XT Box:

100 kmph in 5th would be 2500 rpm
1500 RPM would be 13 kmph in 1st

With the RX Box I have:

100 kmph in 5th would be 2300 rpm
1500 RPM would be 15 kmph in 1st.

BUT I have low range at 1.592 so

1500 RPM would be 9 kmph in 1st low range.

If I could get the XT gear sets and diffs into the car and keep the DR nature of the L series box then I could get

1500 RPM would be 8 kmph in 1st low range and AWD on the road so pretty much the best of both worlds (without diff lock)

hmm options ........
