It looks like it to me - bell housing looks right - has dual range arm.

I vote a "yes"

Yeah it is an MY box. As already said the my mounts are the same as those as is the selector set up. The L series mounts are sort of laid under a bit. That is they don't bolt on vertically like those do. L series clutch fork is also on the passengers side, where the MY is on the drivers side.

It is a dual range, just not an L box.

Thats MY
The low selector is on the other side for L, among the already mentioned differences, although apparently there was such a thing as a 5spd 4wd MY box, yet another thing we missed out on.

Well thats a big "whoops". Well spotted Bluesteel. What are the odds of it not being 5 speed too then?

Going to inform the seller before he gets in the crap?

Out of interest - is the low gear out of an MY box the same as the one in an L Series (ie interchangeable)?

It has been brought to my attention this may not be a 5 speed box, I have tried selecting the gears by hand and seem to only be able to get 4 gears in all ranges, if anyone knows how to tell one way or the other please let me know, there a numbers tf-2 and tf-5 on the side of the gearbox.

There is definitely such thing as a 5 speed MY box. Someone here in WA (I won't say who) has one in his car and a spare. As far as I can tell it looks exactly the same as that one in the pic. I've only seen it in the car though.
