Post by Matt » Sat Nov 14, 2009 8:20 pm

Will a Liberty Gen 2 Auto bolt onto Gen 1? This is will a Auto out of a Gen 2 1994 Liberty bolt up to a Gen 1 1993 Liberty?
The auto in question is a 4 bolt model.

Thanks
Matt

Should do. The Gen1 and Gen2 are basically the same platform. Just double check the wiring pinouts. Im guessing both engines are EJ22's

Its a 4 bolt so it'll work.
Both engines are EJ22.
The connections are different but if you have existing tranmission, just swap the wiring/plugs over.
I don't know about the final drive, but I'm pretty sure its 4.11.
Cheers
AP

Edit: For sure Gen 1 has 4.11, but I'm pretty sure Gen 2 also has 4.11 as well.

All EJ auto's (4eat as they are known) are computer controlled. They will simply not work right without the TCU
