Yeah I saw that, exactly what I thought too!WombatRacing wrote:anyone else spot the red door brumby in the back ground of photo 2. Must be a breeding ground or something.
Anyone else notice the 60 series is running tiny little clown wheels? Must need the gearing to keep up with all the Brumbys.

They used to be done by a crew called speed performance. The business partnership then feel apart and they went their separate and 1 took the 1 name each. So why did I tell you this!?!? Cause I can not remember which is which now… I think that you will want Speed Wheels. They are based in Melbourne and you are looking at something like $220 a rim + freight, however they have the correct offset.fred-sub wrote:the wheels.......i want them![]()
what kind/brand are they, anyone know?
but fenders do need some bashing, else the tyres will do it for him, take that off-road.........
the 60series looks like its got a lift to it? and small wheels, lol, maybe the road runners.........
I am interested to know how thay are going with scrubbing while 4WD on 4WD tread and a 2” Kit. This is what I have been thinking about doing – at present I have some road tread on there and they only rub the mudflaps at the 45 degree kinda angle – diff between my road tyres and the 4WD tread is 5mm. I have been 4WD with road tread and not fond to many issues however if I launch over something READ hard I get a little scrubbing but this could have more to do with shocks and struts getting nakeder after 12 months of pounding.

I think Leon (Subarute) was talking about it some where else here. Maybe in the for sale section. I seem to recall him saying it was one of the ones that was built at ARM many years ago. EA82 turbo and 5 speed conversion. If it is one of the utes he was making at the time then the guards have been chopped quite a lot to accomodate the tyres.
His idea behind the build was to keep them as low as possible but still keep the 28" muddies which made them handle well and have pretty good grip offroad, especially when racing which was their primary role. Randall built 3 of them in yellow with pretty much the same design except one didn't get the turbo motor. Same as the multi coloured ute I had for a while and Skips original blue ute. He sold them at the time for around 18-20K.
The wheels are called Superlites and are/were available in 15x6 or 15x7. We were told a while back that they had stopped making them but Jack_Sparrow bought a few of them just recently.

it's my ute
HEY THATS MY UTE. Didn't even realise it was on here, yeah its or sale you can check it out in the for sale section. Have done a bit of off roading in it up a landcruiser park etc pretty capable, more than i thought when i first got it. currently has a surging problem which you can read about in the trouble shooting section. but its going up to sunspares at yandina this weekend to get checked out. tyres have only ever scrubbed when i had it fully loaded on a camping trip towing a jetski and that was the rear gaurds. never had the front scrub thats why i never bothered with any more lift, although another inch or two wouldn't go astray just for peace of mind. so if anyone is interested just send me a message.
I beleaive they still make them, just a touch difficult to get. http://www.performancewheels.com.au/sup ... wheels.htm.BYB-01 wrote: The wheels are called Superlites and are/were available in 15x6 or 15x7. Monster Subaru sold to a good home!! Still a Subaru owner. Will try stay in the Ausubaru loop. Sorry

Yeah, they don't seem to want to correspond with individuals......have to find out through a tyre dealer...LTurbo wrote:I beleaive they still make them, just a touch difficult to get. http://www.performancewheels.com.au/sup ... wheels.htm.BYB-01 wrote: The wheels are called Superlites and are/were available in 15x6 or 15x7. Re: Wheels
Nice! can you estimate a price on 14" by 6" and 15" by 6" wheels?Brad wrote:I have an account with them if you want some let me know.
They take about 4 weeks from order and come with caps and nuts.

Re: Wheels
My guess would be no more than $200 mark more like $180 - $190 I reckon.LTurbo wrote:Nice! can you estimate a price on 14" by 6" and 15" by 6" wheels?Brad wrote:I have an account with them if you want some let me know.
