Thinking of tossing Subie bits STICKY

Post by steptoe » Tue Sep 15, 2009 8:00 pm

I was just thinking......we list bits in here for sale and wanted, yet there is not a category specifically for just what the title suggests. How many times have you saved some bits for something and never used them and then tossed them thinking they are of no real value, but may be handy to someone else in here. I have done it a few times and just now with sooby having power window trouble. Only last month tossed my L Touring Wagon electric window switches, mechanisms, brown door trims to match in immac condition. Also asked self why I tossed seat belts F & R. The fronts match mine now?!

So... maybe you have stuff to toss, don't want any money for them, just postage, maybe list them here and if good idea make this sticky

EDIT >>idea evolves as it goes, howsabout we PM those listing to save space and once gone poster come in and edit or delete,

Brilliant idea!

I wonder if it is possible to have it so that all the items are placed in the original post.

That way users wont have to go through pages of individual posts to find an item.

What's the "El Freddo" bit about? I do collect bits people don't need but will have to curb this as dad's getting annoyed with the little shed space he's left with :D

I do think this is a good idea too.

I've got a set of early RX turbo doors, red in colour with door trims. Doors are straight, rust unknown. The door 'cards' are in an ok condition, one may have a rip in it from memory.

Cheers

I have available for L series
hayman reese tow bar
front LHS door
rear door, LHS
RHS front indicator lens
CV axle shafts

I think this topic might be best under NSW, and sticky so all nsw'ers put
their available stuff in it, other states can do likewise, think Tas already does so

L-series Turbo front seats in parts. They are the same as the RX turbo seats only blue instead of black and chequered. They came out of a GLTA auto Turbo.

They are in parts because I have used the metal bases out of them to modify a set of Liberty seats into my car. So what is available is the Seat back and the Seat cushion both of which will fit on to a Standard L-series seat base without modification.
